This page describes what aireio collects and what it does with it, in plain words.
If you only browse
We store nothing about you beyond ordinary server logs (your IP address, the pages you request, and your browser type), which we keep briefly for security and to keep the site running. Your theme preference is saved in your own browser, not on our servers. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
If you create an account
We store your email address, a hashed password if you set one, and the name and picture your sign-in provider (Google or GitHub) shares with us. You can add a username, bio, phone number and preferred language on your profile; all of these are optional. A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to thirty days.
What you contribute
Your ratings, Wi‑Fi details, social links, recommendations and favorites are stored against your account. Ratings and details are shown to everyone as part of a pooled score; your individual votes are not shown publicly with your name. Favorites are private to you. You can change or remove any rating from the place page or your contributions page.
Third parties
City search uses Google Maps Platform in your browser, which means Google receives what you type in the search box. Place information comes from Google Places and OpenStreetMap. Photos are served from Cloudflare. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, their own privacy policies apply to that sign-in.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. This removes your profile, favorites, recommendations and ratings immediately. Pooled place scores are recalculated without your votes.
